WEBoogee vs WEBoogie

  • WEBoogee is a space that explores online illusions…

    Dear WEBoogees.. What Drives You?

    Hey WEBoogies,

We know some of you are feeling it directly — and some of you are watching people you care about go through it. A friend, a teammate, maybe even family — struggling with the way things have been with the WEBoogees.

    It’s time to name it.

    It’s time to be honest.

    It’s time to be transparent.

    You may be feeling:

    • Like your voice isn’t being heard.
    • Like decisions are being made without explanation.
    • Like people are expected to give more without understanding why.
    • Like someone close to you is burning out — and it’s being ignored.

    We’re not here to sugarcoat.

We’re not pretending everything is fine.

And we’re not sweeping things under the rug.

This is about real conversations. Real emotions. Real people.

We’re creating a space where you can:

    • Speak freely and safely
    • Ask the hard questions
    • Talk about what’s not working
    • Share what you’ve seen others go through — even if it’s not your story

Because transparency isn’t just about leadership being open — it’s about all of us being brave enough to say what’s real.

    You deserve clarity.

    You deserve honesty.

And the people you care about deserve better, too.

Let’s stop guessing what’s going on. Let’s stop pretending.

Let’s start talking. Listening. Rebuilding. Together.

This isn’t just about fixing things for you.

It’s about the people you work beside… the people you go home to…

and the culture we all live in, every day.

    We’re here.

We’re ready to listen — and to be transparent in return.

    Let’s begin.

    Dear WEBoogees.. What Drives You?

I would like to hear from you- not your surface level justification, but your real motivation for doing what you’re doing. Is it boredom? A way to show off your skills? Are you seeking recognition, profit, or simply trying to see how far others can be pushed? Are you trying to expand horizons, or are you being pushed yourself? Maybe… you are a victim of the same system you’re playing with? And trying to create your own system in the system!

Whatever it is- I personally don’t believe your intend to cause harm. But that doesn’t mean harm isn’t happening. So I ask again : What drives you, WEboogees? Which thread pulls you forward- and is it truly yours to pull?

    Let’s Talk.

    Dear WEBoogees.. What Drives You?

Maya had 248.000 followers. Her feed sparkled-

sunsets in Santorini, slow – motion twirls in designer dresses, captions that said “Be your own muse.” (Behind the screen she was two months behind her rent, editing photos in a one -bedroom apartment lit by the glow of her ring light.)Maya was WEBoogee- fluent in influence. Across town, Lena scrolled through Maya’s feed during her lunch break at the pharmacy. Her salad wilted while her sense of worth did the same. ” How is she always happy?” Lena thought pulling at the waistband of her scrubs. “Why does her skin look like that? Why does her life look like that?” She didn’t know Maya had spent 45 minutes Facetuning her smile that morning, trying to hide the fact that she’d cried the night before. Lena only saw the highlight reel- and like many others, she began scripting a duller version of her own story in response. Lena was a WEBoogie- not by choice, but by algorithm. By 7 pm, Maya posted another photo: her feet on a balcony, wine in her hand, captioned ” Breathe in success, exhale doubt.” Lena turned off her phone, sat on her couch, and wondered when her own breath stopped feeling like enough.

Don’t be disappointed : ” Not every light on a screen is a truth. Some are just filters with better timing”, “Don’t WEBoogie your life away chasing someone else’s fiction.”, “Behind every perfect photo might be a perfectly constructed lie.”, “You are individual worth having your own story, might be different and less extravagant than others- but its yours. And if your friends don’t support you in your choices, it might be a good time to change the venue, and find another friends.”

    Dear WEBoogees.. What Drives You?

This is more than a blog- it’s a reflection space for the filtered era we live in.

A WEBoogee is someone who uses the web skill and charm, crafting an online persona that draws others in – often creating illusions of success, beauty, or happiness. It’s not always malicious. But it is powerful. And it works.

A WEBoogie is the person on the other side of the screen- scrolling, comparing, internalizing someone else’s highlight reel. They build false expectations for themselves, unaware that they’re chasing a fiction.

This project is about naming that dynamic.

    Calling it out.

    Laughing at it.

    Crying through it.

And maybe healing a little from it.

Stay tuned for stories, insights, reflections and community. And if you’ve ever found yourself comparing your Tuesday to someone else’s curated Saturday- you’re not alone.

    You might be a WEBoogie.

    Or a WEBoogee.

    Or both.

    And that’s okay.
